SB 181 - Currently, it is a Class C misdemeanor to operate a motor vehicle with certain vision reducing material on the windows to the left or right of the driver, unless a person obtains the necessary permit from the Department of Public Safety. The act deletes the permit requirement and allows any person to drive a motor vehicle with the vision reducing material that meets the specifications outlined in the statute.
The act is identical to the Perfected SB 907 (2000).
